Cutty Sark ist in den USA seit Ende der Prohibition bis heute einer der meistverkauften Scotch Whiskys.
Schon während der Prohibition verkaufte sich der Blend in großen Mengen auf dem amerikanischen Schwarzmarkt - vielleicht erklärt sich so auch der Segler Cutty Sark auf dem Etikett der Abfüllung.
Benötigte man doch in Zeiten des Alkoholschmuggels schnelle Segler, um an die amerikanische Küste zu gelangen - und die Cutty Sark war der damals schnellste Segler.

In diesem Blend vereinen sich so große Namen wie Macallan, Glenrothes und Bunnahabhain.
