Für die jährlich einmal erscheinende Abfüllung aus der Distillers Edition-Reihe, wählt man bei Caol Ila exMoscatel-Weinfässer für eine zusätzliche Reifung des Single Malts.
Dadurch erlangt dieser Islay-Tropfen eine sehr rauchig-süße Note.

Aroma: frisches Malz und Aromen von weichem Honig, dann plötzlich feuchte Seeluft und Pfefferminze
Geschmack: wieder die salzige Seeluft, dazu Torfrauch und Sirup mit Noten von Zimt und Kardamom - dahinter Orangen und grüner Tee
Abgang: rauchig im Abgang mit deutlich braunem Rohrzucker, saftigen Trauben und frischem Gebäck
