Campbeltown für Deutschland: Darkness-Exklusivabfüllung von der maritimen Halbinsel

Bei Darkness ist der Name Programm: Die mindestens dreimonatige Veredelung in kleinen Sherry Octave Casks verleiht den unabhängigen Abfüllungen ihre natürlich dunkle Farbe. 
Die eigens angefertigten Fässer (so groß wie ca. ein Achtel eines Standard Sherry Butts) sorgen für viel Holzkontakt - und herrlich dunkelfruchtige, würzige Profile.
 
Exklusiv für Deutschland wurde der Campbeltown 6 Jahre Blended Malt abgefüllt.
Der mit 58%vol. Alkoholgehalt in Faßstärke knackige Blended Malt Scotch Whisky stammt aus Schottlands kleinster Whiskyregion. 
Nur drei aktive Brennereien sind in Campbeltown auf der Halbinsel Kintyre zu Hause (zwei weitere in Planung). 

Ihre öligen, maritimen Whiskys feiert man unter Genießern jedoch weit über die Stadtgrenzen hinaus.

Aroma: zu Beginn frische Zimtröllchen und neues Leder, dann Aromen von Datteln und feuchter Waldboden
Geschmack: geröstete Kaffeebohnen, frisches Gebäck mit geschmolzener Butter und Nougatcreme - über allem getocknete Aprikosen
Abgang: im langen Abgang Zitrusfrüchte und viel Schokolade
