Saftig, fruchtig, würzig: Starward Solera aus Apera-Fässern

Starward weist den Weg für die New-World-Kategorie. 
Die "Most Awarded Distillery of the Year 2022" setzt auf rein australische Zutaten, 100% (Stark-)Weinfässer und intensive Reifung in Melbournes wechselhaftem Wetter. 
Den Grundstein für die zugänglichen, unkomplizierten Single Malts aus Australiens Genuss-Zentrum legte Starward mit Solera.

Benannt ist der mehrfach preisgekrönte (u.a. Doppelgold bei der San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2021) Whisky nach der traditionellen Methode, mit der die Spanier ihren Sherry reifen lassen, um ihn konsistent zu halten. 
Davon inspiriert, enthält jede Flasche Starward Solera immer noch einen Hauch des allerersten Fasses der Brennerei. 

Der Single Malt reift in Apera-Fässern der McWilliams Winery. 
Über Jahrzehnte vorbelegt mit dem australischen Likörwein, der Sherry ähnelt, ist die Eiche sehr geschmacksintensiv.

Vollmundig und gut ausbalanciert mit marmeladigen Früchten, Crème Brûlée und Gewürzen kann Starward Solera pur, auf Eis, geschüttelt in einem klassischen Cocktail - oder zum Essen genossen werden.

Aroma: helle tropische sowie Obstgartenfrüchte, Karamell und Vanille
Geschmack: Röstkaramell und Crème brûlée, Banane, Feigen und süße Gewürze
Abgang: saftig und körperreich, mit einer langanhaltenden trockenen Würze
