Produktbeschreibung "Canerock"
Canerock ist ein jamaikanischer Rum der durch eine Infusion aus Vanilleschoten, Kokosnussfleisch, Ingwer und weiteren delikaten Gewürzen aromatisiert wurde.
Die Rumqualitäten für diesen außergewöhnlichen Blended Rum reiften bis zu drei Jahre, ein kleiner Anteil lagerte sogar fünf bis zehn Jahre.
Es kamen amerikanische Eichenholzfässer zum Einsatz.
10 bis 15 % dieser Spezialität erhielten eine zweite Reifung in ehemaligen Pedro Ximénez Sherryfässern.

Die verwendeten Rumqualitäten stammen aus der Clarendon Distillery und der Long Pond Distillery auf Jamaika.

Gewürzt wurde der Blended Rum mit Vanilleschoten aus Madagaskar, Kokosnussfleisch aus der Karibik und jamaikanischen Gewürze, wie zum Beispiel Ingwer.

Aroma: außergewöhnlich reich und komplex mit Aromen von Gebäck, Vanille, Kaffeebohnen, dunkler Schokolade und Kokosnüssen.
Geschmack: zu Beginn süße Karamell-Noten, begleitet von einer leichter Würze und Rosinen - dann Noten von Piment und delikaten Eichenholz-Tanninen
Abgang: scharf und süß zugleich mit Tönen von Mohnkuchen, dunklen Kirschen, Pflaumen, Kokos und frischer Minze, Ingwer und Nelken

Kokos und dunkle Schokolade spielen in diesem Canerock die geschmacklichen Hauptrollen.
Im Abgang kommt Ingwer Schärfe dazu.
Diese Kombi ist genial.
Für mich z.Z. eines der besten Rumsorten in diesem Preissegment.
Für die aktuellen +/- 30,- € inkl. Versandkosten kaum zu toppen.
