Der große Vorteil von Blended Whisky?
Man ist nicht auf den Charakter einer Brennerei beschränkt, sondern kann die besten Eigenschaften aus verschiedenen Destillerien vereint genießen.
Kaum einer ermöglicht das auf einem so hohen Niveau wie Compass Box.
John Glaser und Team erschaffen Texturen und Aromen, die ein einzelner Whisky oft nicht erreichen kann.
Für ihre Luxus-Blends kombinieren die "Whiskymaker" hochqualitative Single Malt und Single Grain Whiskys aus dem eigenen Faßlager in Schottland.

Ihren Experimental Grain Whisky bauten John Glaser und sein Team auf einer Charge Loch Lomond Whisky auf, der spannenderweise kein Grain ist.
Er basiert ausschließlich auf getorftem Gerstenmalz, wird aber in der Coffey Still gebrannt.
Malt darf man ihn daher nicht nennen....

Compass Box umschreibt den Whisky mit Noten von Birne, Vanille und Rauch daher als "Single Grain".
Exotisch-fruchtige Bestandteile von North British, würzig-süßer Single Grain von Cameronbridge sowie der cremige Compass Box Blended Grain Hedonism runden die appetitliche Limited Edition meisterlich ab.

Aroma: ein verlockendes Aroma voller Kontraste - Banane und Toffee vermischen sich mit einer weichen, herzhaften Rauchnote vom Grill und einem Hauch von Rum und Himbeere
Geschmack: weich und ölig mit Mandel- und Vanillenoten, bevor sich ein kurioser, köstlicher Geschmack von verbrannten Tannenzapfen entwickelt
