Der Malteco Rum wird in Panama nach den althergebrachten Traditionen und Rezepten aus der Präsidialrepublik Guatemala in Mittelamerika hergestellt.
Ein Land, das für elegante, geschmeidige und süßliche Rums bekannt ist.

Als neueste Entdeckung der Range wurde erstmals eine limitierte Jahrgangsabfüllung in das Portofolio aufgenommen.

Der Malteco Selección 1987/2015 lässt sofort das Handwerk des Herstellers erkennen.
Ehrlich, aromatisch und komplex. Farblich präsentiert sich dieses feine Destillat in edler Bernsteinfarbe.

Im Aroma als auch am Gaumen, lässt sich die Lagerung im ehemaligen Bourbonfaß erkennen.
Eine würzige Struktur mit angenehm eingebundenen Holzaromen, die sich im zweiten Eindruck fruchtig mit angenehmer Süße zeigen.
Tabak, Schokolade und Gewürze enden in einem langen Abgang mit einer würzigen Struktur.

Für jedes Jahr der Faßreife sollte man diesem Rum mindestens eine Minute Zeit im Glas gönnen, um ihn in all seinen Facetten zu erleben.
