Connemara ist ein waschechter Pure Pot Still Whiskey aus der noch jungen Cooley-Destillerie - gelegen im Westen Irlands.
Cooley wurde erst im Jahr 1987 gegründet, sorgt aber mit ihrem Einfallsreichtum häufig für Überraschungen.

Für irische Whiskeys untypisch, wurde dieser Malt mit über Torffeuer gemälzter Gerste gebrannt.

Aroma: frisch und leicht mit deutlich Zitrone, dazu satte Torfaromen, etwas Apfel und Birne - cremiges Malz
Geschmack: süß mit erdigen Torfnoten - dann Rhabarber und Vanille, Malz und Weizentoast - etwas Rauch und Holzkohle
Abgang: mittellang im Abgang, wieder die Vanille und die fruchtigen Noten - dazu Rauch und würzige Töne
