Von John Dewar & Sons 1898 gegründet, ist diese Highland-Destillerie die erste Brennerei dieser berühmten Firma.
John Dewar & Sons besitzt noch heute die Lizenz für Aberfeldy und bezieht auch heute noch einen nicht unerheblichen Teil der Basis-Malts für Ihre Blends.

Aberfeldy gilt als klassischer Highland-Malt - sehr schön ausbalanciert mit einem weichen und vollen Körper.

Aroma: deutlich Heidekraut, Honig und süße Ananas, dann Toffee, frisches Getreide und etwas Vanille
Geschmack: süßer goldener Sirup und wieder der Honig, gefolgt von würzigen Noten und etwas Orangenschale
Abgang: trockener, leicht würziger Abgang, wieder die Orangenschale
