Produktbeschreibung "The Spice Tree Compass Box 46%vol. Sample 0,04l"
The Spice Tree ist ein herrlich würziger, reichhaltiger Vatted Malt Whisky aus verschiedenen Higland-Destilleiren - ausschliesslich Destillerien aus den nördlichen Highlands sind vertreten, hauptsächlich aus dem Ort Brora.
Die erste Reifung findet in einem Mix aus first-fill und refill-Fässern aus amerikanischer Eiche statt.
Den Unterschied macht die zweite Reifung, dieses Mal werden keine inneren Dauben wie beim ersten Spice Tree verwendet, sondern stark getoastete Fassenden aus französischer Eiche. Boden und Deckel der Fässer geben durch die starke Röstung ein ausgeprägtes Geschmacksprofil an den Whisky ab. Die zweite Reifung dauert zwei Jahre.

Aroma: wohlduftende Aromen getrockneter Kräuter, dazu Ingwer, Zimt und Muskat - dahinter Eiche und Vanille
Geschmack: voll und rund im Geschmack - eine leichte Süße von Toffee und Vanille, dann wieder die Kräuter, dazu Ingwer, Gewürznelken und nussige Töne
Abgang: lang im Abgang - sehr würzig mit leichten Vanille- und Eichennoten
