Glen Garioch wurde 1798 in den östlichen Highlands gegründet.
Die Destillerie gehört seit 1970 der Familie Morrison (Bowmore).
Glen Garioch ruhte von 1995 bis 1997.
Seit 1997 wird hier durchgängig produziert und man hat sogar die alten malting floors wieder zum Leben erweckt.

Aroma: cremig-ölig mit würzigen, leicht pfeffrigen Tönen - Spuren von Limone und Grapefruit
Geschmack: wieder die Früchte, erinnert an Dessertwein, etwas Schokolade - dazu mehr Würze und geräucherter Schinken
Abgang: etwas Rauch, Eiche, Frucht und wieder Schokolade

Sehr schöner Single Malt, tolle Aromen. Verträgt auch etwas Wasser.
