Glenfarclas ist eine der wenigen unabhängigen Destillerien Schottlands.
Gegründet bereits 1836 und seit 1865 im Besitz der Familie Grant.
John Grant führt Glenfarclas heute bereits in der fünften Generation.
Glenfarclas ist ebenfalls eine der wenigen Destillerien, die seit ihrer Gründung nahezu ohne Unterbrechung produziert haben.
So erklärt sich das große Angebot der verschiedensten Abfüllungen aus diesem Hause.

Aroma: kräftige Sherry-Aromen mit dunklen Früchten, dazu etwa Minze und Eiche
Geschmack: mehr und mehr Sherry - wieder die Früchte, vor allem Pflaumen, Datteln und Rosinen - dann nussige Noten
Abgang: sehr langer Abgang - Sherry und Nüsse bleiben
