Einer der letzten, echten Single Pot Still-Whiskeys!!
Seit den 1920er Jahren wird dieser Whiskey von dem Dubliner Handelshaus Mitchell & Son vertrieben.
Der Whiskey stammt aus der Destillerie Midleton, die ihn mittlerweile auch selber abfüllen.

Green Spot wird ohne Altersangabe abgefüllt, in ihm finden sich 7-8jährige Whiskeys.
Er ist elegant und vollmundig und wird nur in einer kleinen Auflage von 6.000 Flaschen jährlich auf den Markt gebracht.

Aroma: frisch und aromatisch mit öligen und würzigen Noten, Orchideenduft und Gerste im Hintergrund
Geschmack: voll und würzig, eine Spur Nelken, danach eine fruchtige Süße von grünen Äpfeln und geröstete Eiche
Abgang: Leichte Noten von Gewürzen und wieder Gerste

Ich habe den Green Spot meinem Vater als Geburtstagsgeschenk gekauft.
Natürlich durfte ich auch mal probieren, der Whiskey ist wirklich gut, weich und fruchtig.
Ich empfehle ihn seitdem immer weiter und denke er kommt bei jedem gut an, der einen Whiskey zu schätzen weiß.
