Oban ist eine der letzten Destillerien, die noch in einem Stadtzentrum liegen.
Inmitten der kleinen Hafenstadt Oban - in den westlichen Highlands - mit den niedrigen viktorianischen Gebäuden, liegt die sehr kleine Destillerie mit dem alten Ziegelrauchfang.

Aroma: kräftig und rauchig in der Nase mit leicht medizinischen Aromen, dazu Seetang und der duft alter Taue, die im Hafen liegen - dahinter süße Töne von Holzrauch und frische geschnitteneme Gras
Geschmack: voller Körper mit Zitrusfrucht und einer weichen Süße - dazu Rauch und Seegras, würzige Eiche und malzige Noten
Abgang: langer Abgang, wieder die Zitrusfrüchte und die würzige Eiche
